OFCOM DELAY - OFCOM has announced a delay in the change to 0870 number charging. The changes to both wholesale and retail charging rates for 0870 numbers, due to come in to force on 1 February 2008, have been postponed until further notice. It is anticipated that the changes will still go ahead but at a later date.Watch this space for further details.
As the position is still uncertain we are continuing to replace 0870 numbers with 0844 numbers. 0844s have the same business benefits as 0870 numbers but with lower call charges to the caller.
0844 numbers are portable which means you will not have to change your published number again and it will give your company a national profile.

Callers to your 0844 number pay only 5p per minute from BT lines, you will receive the calls at no charge.
